ANDREA PANZER - THE YOGA I LOVE

I love the flow of Ashtanga Yoga.
Carried by the deep breath feeling my body and observing and focusing myself inside-out - to bring light and balance in body and mind.
I am coming out of the yoga practice refreshed and light - with stability and clarity.

My first teacher in Ashtanga Yoga was Rolf Naujocat. Over a period of 8 years, he accompanied me into the 3rd series of Ashtanga Yoga.

From 2006 to 2014 I travelled to Mysore every year to practice with Sharath Jois - these were 1 1/2 years in total. I finished the Intermediate under his guidance.

I also love the subtle aspects of yoga & pranayama as taught by Sri Sribhashyam, Sri T. Krishnamacharya's youngest son. From 2008 - 2017 I was able to participate in his wonderful intense seminars in Germany and England.

As I love the both - I can not drop one of these - and anyway the yoga of Sri T. Krishnamacharya must be seen as a complete teaching from the one source.

On my yoga path, I have always happened to study in the Sri T. Krishnamacharya tradition.

I started with a BKS Iyengar yoga teacher training and discovered Ashtanga Yoga on a trip to India, which led me to my teacher Rolf Naujocat and later to Sharath Jois in Mysore. During these years I met the youngest son of T. Krishnamacharya, Sri Sribhashyam - and his teaching touched my heart.

Later, I dived deeper into the Vinyasa Krama method that Srivatsa Ramaswami teaches - and felt that I understood better, how Ashtanga Yoga relates to the bigger picture of Sri T. Krishnamacharya's Vinyasa Yoga method.

When we are young, we want to test our limits and push our physical boundaries. Experiencing this in Ashtanga Yoga - in Goa with Rolf and then in Mysore with Sharath - was the fulfilment of a greater quest - a wonderful soul journey!

My intention in teaching is to impart the depth of Ashtanga Yoga by applying the various aspects of Sri T. Krishnamacharya Yoga - in the personal adjustments that are conditioned by age, talent, interest.

I am grateful to have learnt all these wonderful aspects and to be able to pass them on today with joy!

My daily practice is connected with the endeavour to dive deeper into the mystery of yoga and into the spiritual mastery of life!

teaching and living in Andalusia

In 2018, at the age of 59 Govinda and I moved to the Costa del Sol (Malaga, Spain) - following a deep call of my heart.

We are immensely happy to share our gifts here and to open our space freely and with open hearts to welcome yogi/nis from around the world. The Ashtanga Mysore Class allows to teach teach yogi/nis of all levels and age.

It feels like to surrender to a gift we are able to provide - for more peace, heartfulness and deep spiritual quest - and the feeling to be part of a great community of dedicated yogis.

Bienvenidos!
